The Ports of Los Angeles are increasingly affected by congestions on travel routes leading to the terminals, which leads to prolonged queues of drayage trucks at the gates.  

Fenix Marine Services, the operator of Pier 300 container terminal, lacked the data to assess truck queues and wait times leading to the port gates. While they had tried RFID tags to monitor truck movements inside the ports, they didn’t have a solution to monitor truck wait times on the city roads leading to the terminal gates.
